Gray State Director David Crowley Dies in Apparent Murder-Suicide
The police believe that David Crowley, director of the much talked about movie "Gray State" has died in a murder-suicide. His body was found with his daughter and his wife inside of their home.
Crowley was twenty-nine years old. His wife, Komel, was a year younger, and their daughter was five. The bodies were found by their neighbor.
For several months, neighbors believed that the family was simply away on vacation. Collin Prochnow, who lives in the area, noticed that deliveries began to accumulate on the porch. He could hear a dog making noise inside the home, but the family was no where to be seen.
In the middle of January, he peered into the home via a first floor window. It was then that he realized something was horribly wrong. The bodies had apparently been lying in the home for some time. The Christmas presents were left untouched and lights were still on from the holidays.
Prochnow indicated to KARE-11 News that there was no reason for concern before the discovery. He never heard the couple argue in public. Another neighbor indicated that the family seemed to have it all.
The Apple Valley Police Department, however, released a statement indicating that the situation involved a murder-suicide. The deaths appear to be from unnatural causes.
David Crowley served in the Iraq war. He is best known for his contributions to the film "Gray State." The film is not available for public viewing yet, but it discusses how the United States is on the verge of financial ruin and could be subject to martial law. The film also puts forth the belief that America will start to restrict civil liberties. Crowley was the director of the film, and he also wrote it.
Jordan Page, a musician and associate of Crowley's, indicated that "Gray State" had the backing of a large movie studio, which provided it with a 30 million dollar budget. Production was expected to start soon.
It is uncertain if "Grey State" will still be produced following the deaths. Colleagues released a statement indicating that they were surprised by the tragic events and in mourning over the loss of their friend.
